I've thought for a while that Aaron Kelly might be one of the contestants to most benefit by being forced into theme weeks. It seems to have worked for him this week -- his version of Angie is sweet, tender and just the right amount of sad. And there's just the tiniest bit of rasp at the end of his phrases. Now that he's not having to try to sing like Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox or Lonestar's Richie McDonald, his own voice gets to shine through. That was pretty cool.
