This week, singer Aaron Kelly, a finalist on Fox’s “American Idol” with Pennsylvania ties, kept his cool and a spot in the finals.
For Kelly and his fans, it’s been a great ride. The chance to cheer on a talented hometown kid has given the most jaded midstaters a good reason to watch the show. And Kelly’s will-he-make-it story line has provided a break from the bleak news elsewhere.
